Recently, a court decision involving surplus lines has come to our attention which we feel you should be aware of.  We would suggest you pay particular attention to the court's comments regarding notice of non-renewal.  The Association is not making any specific recommendation as a result of this decision, at this time, but want you to be aware of this.  You may wish to discuss this with the insurance carriers you represent.
